Reaching into Mexico....Transforming Nations by Transforming a Generation!

We are excited to share that the Lord had led us to move to Juárez, Mexico at the beginning of March ’13 to join staff at a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) associated children’s home! Rancho Los Amigos is a Christian children’s home for kids who are in need from the surrounding area of Mexico due to neglect, abandonment, abuse, or poverty. The home receives children with loving arms and educates them, provides Christian professionals such as therapists, dentists, and doctors as needed, teaches them and trains them in the ways of the Lord, and changes the course of their lives forever. As they are currently seeking to expand their capacity for more children, they are also in great need of more volunteer full-time staff.
The Lord has divinely led us to Rancho Los Amigos, and we believe He is asking us to devote ourselves full-time to these precious children! We are making an initial two year commitment, but are open to staying much longer if the Lord leads us to do that. We know that our small sacrifices will be far outweighed by the lasting fruit that will come from the lives of the children that we will be sewing into. When we arrive there in March, we will immediately be immersed into the daily lives of these kids. We will be doing practical things such as helping them with homework, making sure they get their chores done, bathing the young ones, getting them ready for school, and the like. We will also have the chance on a daily basis to play with them, speak into their lives, and act as older mentors. When we recently visited, it was very evident to us that these children are very happy and grateful for where they are, and perhaps even some of the most joyful kids we’ve ever met, but each one of them still have issues they are working through from their past. It is our desire to go and let the Lord use us to instill identity, hope, and the love of God into each one of their hearts!
In addition to working at Rancho Los Amigos, we will also be helping out with a brand new house of prayer that has been planted in Juárez. We know that this house of prayer will be a weapon in the hand of the Lord to fight for righteousness in the city as violence and corruption have been constantly increasing. Many of the surrounding churches have never heard of houses of prayer or prayer mixed with music and worship, so we plan to help out in any way we can, including playing on some of the sets. We are very excited for all that the Lord is doing in our lives and look forward to sharing more as things progress!
